October Updates

As we are now approaching the last week of October, I thought it would be a good time to show the progress I have made with three trackers I update daily:

  1. Sleep Tracker

  2. Mood Tracker

  3. Self-Care Tracker

October Sleep Tracker (as of 23/10/2023)

Now as someone who loves their sleep, I really enjoy tracking how many hours I have slept each night. I think also the fun of colouring in ghosts for October has made this month especially entertaining to track. The glaringly obvious purple ghost shows the ONE DAY I didn't get over 6 hours sleep...when I was camping overnight with Scouts of course! Either way, I am planning on retaining my 6 hours or more of sleep until the end of October and hopefully continue this trend into November and beyond!

So in a previous blog and Instagram post, I said that I wanted to keep track of my mood and see if I could have less red and yellow days. October has been a mix of green and yellow, a lot of the worries have been about my dog Jodie and my mental health. There has been slivers of red in three days of October, with a mix of yellow and green surrounding them. This tells me I have been able to use my self-care strategies to combat the anger I was feeling.


Mental health advice: it is also okay to scream, cry and let out the anger. Just don't bottle it up as I used to. Being angry takes up far more energy so it is always better to find a productive way to get it out of your system, and let it go.


Anyway, I am hoping for a green November but we shall see what life throws my way!

So far in October I have managed to do at least 2 or 3 of my self-care strategies every day! Some days I haven't played on my video games, because I need a digital detox or I've been too busy. Either way, 2 or 3 of these strategies every day is a good habit that I will be maintaining in the future.
