So with a new bullet journal comes a brand new log for this week!
Now I love playing video games, especially on my Nintendo Switch that I bought last year, so I thought it would be fun to track the games I play.
Another reason I wanted a video game log was so I could keep tabs on particular achievements in each of the games.
I focused on the Nintendo switch games I play as that is the gaming platform I use daily. These include: Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Stardew Valley, Wylde Flowers, Mario Kart 8 and Ring Fit Adventure.
I have adapted a bullet journal layout for A Year In Pixels, which was initially used to track your mood everyday of the year. So instead I am going to document the video games I play everyday.
I adore Animal Crossing New Horizons and I have a mild obsession with Fortnite (don't judge me I hide for most of the game or run around doing side quests) so those two are my most played games so far this year.
A new game I started last year that I cannot recommend enough is Wylde Flowers by Studiodrydock. It is a farming game, with LGBTQ+ friendly storyline and includes witchcraft as well!
This gaming log will enable me to track which video games I have played and if I should change up what I am playing.
I adore a simple bullet journal log to set up and use so the layout for this tracker was perfect for me!
Now I love gaining titles and trophies in any video game I play, so to find a way to track these was an additional idea I had when deciding how to create a video gaming log.
I used a range of charts to document the achievements for each game as some had too many trophies to name individually. I really like how adaptable a bullet journal is to use for any purpose you can think of!
I will be using the achievement tracker as my long term video gaming goals rather than to meet in 2023. As much as I enjoy gaming, I don't think I can achieve all of these in one year!
Below is the 2023 Gaming Log layout filled in up to day and the achievement tracker set up.
I also included a picture of the gaming achievements I have begun to complete. It has been great to focus my gaming experience on reaching those goals.
I hope these designs may inspire you to try something new in your bullet journal or to track what you get up to in your video games.
