Hello readers,
I am back this sunny Monday with a collection of completed logs & trackers from August and the new setups for September. As it already the 4th of September, I have begun using the logs so they have three days already filled out. I will also be showing my updated Gratitude Jar and the total books I have read so far this year.
But before that, let's take a look back at August:
August Monthly Log
Below is my completed August Monthly Log. I read a total of 4 books but only 24 chapters this month, as 3 of those books were Graphic Novels. If you haven't read a graphic novel before, I would highly recommend the series March. I added decoration using pink and purple for this month, and I used mandala stencils for those instead of free-hand doodles.

August Sleep Tracker
This tracker was an interesting one to use everyday to track how many hours I slept. I decided early one to use a 3 star method, so for every night that went over 6 hours of sleep got 3 stars drawn onto the moon. I took inspiration for this tracker from a mood tracker, so it was an adaption before I even started to use it myself. What I love about using trackers like this is that you adjust each one as you start to use them, because you learn what works best for you. It is one I may use and adapt again next year.

August Self-Care Tracker
Here is my completed self-care tracker for August. For those of you following my instagram you will know that I already posted this, but here it is again! I really enjoyed using this tracker and it is a style I will definitely replicate in the years to come, but using different mandala stencils for each month I think.

Total Books Read So Far in 2023
I am cracking on with my 23 books in 2023 reading challenge and reached my highest total books in the month of August! I managed to read 4 books, 1 non-fiction book and 3 graphic novels. I am continuing my trend of varying the genres and types of books I read.

My current read is by a friend of mine : Doorway to Nowhere by Rebecca L. Fearnley.
Follow the link below to her website where you can find a paperback or an e-book copy of this book alongside her new book Shadow and Screams and The Silent Skies Trilogy which I read last year:
September Monthly Log
Here is the set up for the month of September, including some autumnal colours and doodles. As with previous monthly setups I used some mandala stencils for inspiration, but I also added some freehand doodles to imitate the changing seasons.

Quote of the Month: Autumn shows us how wonderful it is to let things go
September Sleep Tracker
This month's sleep tracker took a long time to create, as I haven't used a compass to draw circles since I was in school! As you can see, it is isn't completely perfect or symmetrical, but then it wouldn't be made by me! I have no fear of making mistakes with my journals anymore because it is part of the process. I went for a pink colour scheme to celebrate the Barbie film and to embrace the colour pink which I have "hated" for far too long, as it was too feminine for me.

September Self-Care Tracker
New month means a new self-care tracker and this month I also used a different mandala stencil. I will be applying this technique to my self-care trackers for 2024 with a different stencil per month, instead of 2 months having the same design. As you can see, I have started well and I plan to continue doing self-care every day.

Gratitude Jar
Here is my Gratitude Jar so far in 2023. For August I wrote that I was grateful for:
The Mallorca Files fan group for welcoming me and inspiring fanfictions and edits and new creative techniques I have never tried!

I hope you have enjoyed my reflections on August, introductions to September and updated book challenge tracker and my gratitude jar!
Next week I will be uploading my Animal Crossing Characters doodle page, which took me over 2 weeks to create!
See you next Monday and thank you for reading,
Sophie x
