Creating a Gratitude Log

After a few weeks away from blogging and bullet journals I'm back with a new log design for you.
Sometimes when I am having a bad day, it is really easy to focus on the negative in a situation rather than what else went right.
This is where a gratitude log comes in, to write a word or sentence about something you are grateful for.
I have never done these kind of log before so I explored Google and Pinterest for some inspiration.
I found a layout that reminded me of sunshine and decided to use that for my first ever gratitude log. And as I am a lover of inspirational quotes I had to find one for my log too: Always have an attitude of gratitude- Sterling K Brown.
I chose to include doodles of hearts with every sentence of gratitude, because who doesn't love a little doodle!
Some gratitude logs I have seen use a list of things people are grateful for, not directly related to the events that happened in a day. So if this is more your scene, feel free to create a log like that.
I chose to use the colour purple for each thing I am grateful for, as it is one of my favourite colours.
As we are only 11 days into March I haven't completed my gratitude log so it is very much a work in progress.
I highly recommend drawing your design layout in pencil first so you know you are happy with it. I did this and adjusted the layout of the lines so I could have different widths for each day.
Another great thing about gratitude logs is that every log will be different depending on your personal events or if you are creating a list.
I am really enjoying exploring this new way of refocusing my day on the positives than the negatives.
Below is a photo of my gratitude log for March so far:

The pens I used to create the log are:
Faber-Castell Finepen 1511 Document
Faber-Castell PITT artist pen (M)
Purple zebra z-grip pen (Medium)
Remember if you are stuck for inspiration for a gratitude log or indeed anything to do with bullet journals I cannot recommend Pinterest and Instagram enough!
The community of bullet journalling is lovely and everyone is so open to offer ideas, help and inspiration for you if you need it.
I spend lots of time outside with my day job so I really enjoy sitting down with a cup of tea and scrolling through people's bullet journal spreads and posts.
I hope this gives you an idea of how to start your own gratitude log.
Next time I will be giving you an update on my monthly logs and how to create a birthday log. As a way to keep tabs on the birthdays of your family, friends and pets!
