The quote for December is by Fennel Hudson: December, being the last month of the year, cannot help but make us think of what is to come.

I think that quote sums up why I love December so much, I enjoy the changing weather, the Christmas lights, music, TV specials, films and that little breather between Christmas and New Year where no one remembers what day it is.

I used the centre of a mandala stencil I thought looked a bit like a snowflake for decoration, I may add more doodles as the month goes on but we shall see!

December Sleep Tracker

I had to go for a Christmas Tree theme for the December Sleep Tracker!

I spent quite a while trying to get a tree-like texture using different pens and pencils. I used a red Pilot frixon pen for the tinsel, first drawing an outline then two lines in opposite directions to make it a V shape and created the tinsel you see above. I will be colouring in each bauble with either silver or gold based on how many hours I sleep each night. I'll then write the number for that day over the top using a fineline pen.

December Self-Care Tracker

Using the same mandala stencil as I did for the November self-care tracker, I drew this layout to track my three non-negotiable self-care strategies. I kept the colour scheme the same as well using purple for bullet journalling, blue for video gaming and green for reading.

December Mood Tracker

I have used the same mandala stencil to create the December Mood Tracker layout and I will be following the same process of colouring in each segment red, yellow or green based on my mood at the end of every day.

December Doodle Log

I may have gone slightly crazy, but I have set myself the HUGE challenge of completing 31 doodles for December this year! I'll doodle every day for December and this will be documented on my Instagram page @sophsjournalideas. The final result will be shown in my final blog of 2023 on the 25th December!
