There are many ways to create inspirational quote logs in bullet journals. Some people like to dedicate logs to their favourite books or films or characters. Others focus on types of quotes on life, work, challenges we face to inspire when you are feeling low on motivation.
I love inspirational quotes from a range of places, I'm that person who has a board on Pinterest with over 200 quotes!
My friends also know and understand my love of quotes, which is how I have ended up with books and inspirational quote cards that I have used in previous bullet journals.
It is as always up to you how to create a quote log so here are some ideas you can use for inspiration.
This year I have used self-care cards from a favourite company: The Blurt Foundation to create a self care quote log.
A self-care log is for days when you are feeling run down or low and caring for yourself is the last thing on your mind. It provides simple ideas of ways to dedicate time for yourself, when you are running on empty.
I found these logs especially helpful during the pandemic in 2020/2021 when I was nearing burnout while delivering online learning as a primary school teacher.
I took 10 minutes with a cup of tea and read through the suggestions and tried to set aside time that day to complete 2 self care tasks. It could be as simple as "tidy my desk" as I found when an area was messy I couldn't focus or concentrate on anything.
I also received a card collection of "You got this" words of inspiration from my best friend which I have used in my current bullet journal. I decided to cut them up and chose a selection for 2 quote logs.
Reading these will help me to reignite my motivation to move forward with a task or to distract my mind from negative thoughts.
Never underestimate the little mood boost a 5 minute session of reading inspirational quotes can have on tacking your day or a tricky situation.
I am also a firm believer in the power of positive affirmations and mantras. But I use short quotes or phrases that I write down or repeat as an intention throughout the day. Again this supports my brain to focus in on the positive rather than the negative thoughts.
You can also write out quotes instead of using cards or pictures but I enjoy having the cards serve a purpose rather than them just staying unused in a box.
Instagram and Pinterest are worlds of inspirational quotes and quote log layout ideas as well.
But here are my most recent self-care and inspirational quote logs:

I have also included a quote for each month which is a new addition to my monthly logs this year.
As always I hope this gave you some ideas for how to create your own inspirational or motivational quote logs. Or to make use of some quote cards you may have lying around unused in a box somewhere.
For my next post I will be showing how to create a gratitude log, something I recently discovered and really enjoyed making.
