Hola from a very hot and sunny Palma de Mallorca!
A holiday will not stop my daily Instagram posts or a weekly blog it seems!
This week I will be showing my set up for a two page monthly spread for July (see below)

Now if you have been following this blog since January, you may have noticed a similar layout for every bullet journal monthly log. This is because it works as a 2 page per month diary for me to update in around 10 to 15 minutes after work. I wasn't going to mess with a system that has been working pretty well so far this year!
I coloured in the last few days of June in blue, as I've moved to a blue theme for the next 3 monthly logs.
I have included my current read: Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo (book 3 of the shadow and bones trilogy, would highly recommend both books and the series on Netflix).
July's quote is a great uplifting one that I discovered via a Google search: Entering into the 7th month of the year means the next half of the year is yours. Welcome July with positive vibes only.
I saw this and thought it summed up a way to view the next few months: positive vibes only! The beginning of the year was a bit rocky so this was 100% the mood I want to take into the next part of the year.
It is also my birthday month so I had to add important dates and events going on, which is always handy to have in one place.
The months with 31 days always have a slightly different layout because they don't all start on a Monday which is the logical progression in my log. That is why I added funky stripes to cover it up because it makes that change part of my design.
I drew out everything in pencil and labelled all the days of the month before going over it in fineliner. I used my Faber-Castell PITT artist pens, 1511 document pen and a blue pilot frixon pen.
If you ever want to create your own 2 page monthly log, I hope this gives you an idea for how mine could be adapted for whatever you need.
Thank you for reading and keep an eye on my Instagram for daily bullet journal updates.
Next week I will be doing a travel blog summarising my week in Mallorca, linking what I've seen to some filming locations from one of my favourite comfort shows: The Mallorca Files (currently on BBC Iplayer and I would highly recommend).
See you then!
Adios,
Sophie 🌴🏖🌊🌅
