Hello readers,
I am back with a little delayed blog post covering my recent ski trip to the lovely village of Cervinia.
I will be showing photos of my holiday alongside my travel log that I wrote every day while on holiday.
Front Cover

I created this front cover for my travel log using ideas from Pinterest and Google alongside the Italian flag for my colour scheme.
This enabled me to block out how many pages I wanted to dedicate to the travel log within my journal.
Travel Log

I used a double page spread to cover the 8 days of my holiday for this log.
I chose colours from the washi tape that I decorated the little ski chair lifts with for each day to brighten up the log titles and provide a theme that worked with the doodles as well as the text I was writing.
I decided part way through the week to track the weather, so I made a little chart to document this.
We skied on some of the snowy days, but only short runs as the visibility was poor.
Holiday Photos
Here is a collection of photos from my holiday including the Matterhorn, the ski runs, the local Church we got picked up from and dropped off at everyday and some of the days it snowed.
I also included some photos from the day we arrived when we collected our ski gear from the shop.
I would highly recommend Cervinia as a ski destination. The mountains absorb everyone and it can get busy if the upper ski lifts are shut. However, the views are stunning and the runs are lovely whether you are newer to skiing or have done it for years.
I hadn't skied for 5 years before this week so to be able to get my ski legs back was really great for my confidence. For two of the days I tracked my skiing with my Garmin watch and we skied nearly 15km for both of those days!
You could track specific activities that you do on your holidays, for example how long you swim or where you go on a hike.
Also I should mention the food offered in the many restaurants within the village is worth the trip into town. We ate lots of pasta, pizza and tried different restaurants each night. One thing I will say is you will most likely need to get a reservation as places get fully booked very quickly!
When creating a travel log it is important to think about what you want to include:
Will you cover the weather, the food you ate and the activities you did?
Do you have a theme you are sticking to for the decorations/colours used throughout the log?
Will you add drawings linked to your holiday destination?
How much are you going to write for each day and have you thought about this before you start your log?
These questions will change depending on how you want to use your log for each holiday or just special holiday memories.
Thank you for reading and I will see you next week,
