Back again with my latest bullet journal blog, apologies for the gap in uploads. I hereby set a reminder to upload at least once or twice a month! I've had some family medical situations to deal with, hence the delay.
Anyway I am back with a post full of updates so buckle up and be prepared for a bombardment of completed logs and a new log too!
First off as it is the beginning of June, I will show you the design for my monthly log:
![Double page bullet journal open with a monthly calendar blank except for two days of June. Quote written in green pen and empty blocks at the top right hand page tracking chapters to be read in June](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/de696f_82093c78c0cf44018571caf2a1fdbbd6~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_589,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/de696f_82093c78c0cf44018571caf2a1fdbbd6~mv2.jpg)
This includes my latest book for my 23 in 2023 challenge, the second of the King of Scars duology by Leigh Bardugo: Rule of Wolves.
The quote for June by Mia Moretti says Of course, fresh flowers are the answer to any June gloom you may be feeling. Flowers really do solve all problems.
As someone who spends everyday walking dogs in the great outdoors, I can agree flowers bursting into bloom really do lift the spirits!
I'm not sure if they solve all problems, but flowers are instant mood boosters.
In the next blog I will be showing the set up for my latest tracker: sleep!
As I have bipolar, sleep is a huge factor on my wellbeing and ability to cope with everyday events. That is why I decided to started tracking my hours of sleep from now until the end of the year.
Here are my completed April and May monthly logs, including the books I have read and things I jotted down each day.
Depending on how much I can fit in my daily log boxes, I sometimes write one or two things per day. One day I may squish 3 in!
Completed April Monthly Log

Completed May Monthly Log
![Double page bullet journal open with a monthly calendar filled in for everyday of May. Quote written in green pen with green blocks at the top right hand page tracking chapters read.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/de696f_00263d09502e451b99abb5acf9b07c18~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_550,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/de696f_00263d09502e451b99abb5acf9b07c18~mv2.jpg)
I also adore May's quote:
Maybe life isn't going upward
As you wish, but if you can learn from
Yesterday you can win tomorrow.
Motivational and creates an acrostic of May? Perfect!
Now onto the new log I created after completing my monthly gratitude log: my 2023 gratitude jar!
![Large jar shape with purple and black writing inside it, blocking off sections for each month of the year where the author writes what she is grateful for each month.](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/de696f_23d4327e40ea4a339f7c203782881bad~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_1335,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/de696f_23d4327e40ea4a339f7c203782881bad~mv2.jpg)
Now gratitude logs can look different for everyone, you can do a line a day or a monthly summary of gratitude. Or if you want to go crazy, make a gratitude jar for the year!
I used Pinterest as inspiration and decided on a jar design.
I used to have an actual jar that I filled with positive things that happened to me over the course of a year. So I utilised this idea and created my gratitude jar to document things that made me grateful in 2023.
This could include people, events or quotes (which will definitely find their way in there somewhere!).
I decided on a blue and purple theme as these are two of my all-time favourite colours and they blend together well from an aesthetic point of view.
I also limited each month to a maximum of 3 lines. This will help me ensure my log is concise and looks balanced.
I added doodles around the edge for decoration, because I love to doodle!
I will add the next update of this jar in August because that is when it will be half full!
Keep an eye out for my next blog where I will share the half way mark of my reading 23 books in 2023 challenge!
The next upload will include the progress of my gaming log as well as the newest tracker in my bullet journal: Sleep!
See you next time, Sophie 📚🌻👌
