When I started journalling this year, I knew I wanted to try different things and not just constantly create new logs but to be more creative with my journalling.
As a step towards achieving this, I recently signed up to a company called The Journal Prompt. They send out weekly prompts with quotes, 3 activities, a photo and a poem with ideas for how you can apply these into your journals.
So far I have taken the weekly quotes and created a new log (surprise surpise) full of these inspiring quotes! It is also nice to know that every week I will sit down and read a little newsletter all about journalling.
I highly recommend giving them a Google or finding their Instagram if you need some inspiration for your journal.
This week's quote is by Oprah Winfrey and it focuses on passion. Whether you are passionate about art, baking, drawing, dogs, hiking, or cars, those passions make you unique.
I find I get more stressed if I can't sit down for 5 minutes and write in my journal or read a chapter of my book. But the joy if I do spend time journalling or reading is amazing, I just feel instantly calm.
Those are two of my passions, I think as we get older time becomes our greatest enemy. We begin to believe that spending time on our hobbies, our passions and our interests is wasted because we aren't focusing on growing our career, seeing family or getting that dream car.
Time for yourself is always worth so much more than material objects or societal pressures, and future you will thank you for the time you spend cultivating your hobbies and passions.
