Hi,
This week I will be talking about how to create a mandala doodle page.
I wanted to spend some time specifically dedicated to doodling or drawing and after some research, I set my sights on designing a mandala.
The first step was to find the middle of the page in my bullet journal and build the mandala design from there. I used circles, swirls, triangles and semi-circles to create my mandala.
I always use pencil first, that way if I don't like something I can easily rub it out and fix it.

I then coloured in my mandala design using purple, yellow, pink and blue fineliners. I wanted to add a different medium so I included a green watercolour pencil as well.

The final step was to then outline every part of the mandala using a Faber-Castell fineliner.

I then rub out any pencil marks that remain to finish off the page.
I really enjoyed sitting for about an hour creating this mandala. It was very relaxing to build a repeated pattern and then colour it in.
I chose the colour scheme of purple, blue, yellow, pink and green as they are some of my favourite colours and they go well together.
I may do one of these once a month as I enjoy flexing my creative muscles and it'd also be interesting to compare the different designs.
Thank you for reading this relatively short post.
See you next week,
Sophie
